Hi Friend,
At WineDirect we take security very seriously, including protecting user and end-user data to our fullest capacity. That's why as of April 14th, WineDirect will require HTTPS connections by 3rd-party applications accessing the WineDirect Ecommerce Platform. This ensures that we remain fully compliant with all PCI Compliance and established security best practices.
Beginning on April 14th, HTTPS connections will be required by default for all API/Web services across all available endpoints and versions. Requests made over unsecured connections after that date will receive a 308 Permanent Redirect message.
To avoid any disruption to your API integrations with WineDirect, we recommend contacting your 3rd-party software vendor as soon as possible. This will allow adequate time before the deadline to make any changes and test the user experience.
If you are a winery user, please forward this notice to your developer or connected software provider. WineDirect Integrated Partners have already been notified about this change so please contact them directly with any questions or concerns.
We appreciate the help of our clients, partners and developer community in meeting our goal of HTTPS everywhere, ensuring that all user and end-user data remains both accessible and protected.
Thank you,
Devin
